Jack is walking!

The day has finally come! He went from just taking a few steps to walking pretty long distances. Crawling is still his preferred mode of transportation at the moment, especially when Emma is around-- she shows absolutely no concern for where Jack is, and she knocks him down a lot. He is a very cautious walker-- he talks very small, slow steps, and every few steps he pauses to steady himself. If he thinks he's going to fall, he will bend over and steady himself by putting his hands on the ground, and then stand back up. It's pretty funny to watch, not like your usual "just-starting-to-walk-tumble-all-over" kind of baby.

Deer Forest

Today me, Jack, Sarah, and Olivia went to Deer Forest in Coloma. You get to see a lot of deer, goats, rabbits, peacocks, and a few other animals. They also have a few smaller rides and some playground equipment. We spent about two hours there, which was plenty of time to see everything and take the short train ride. We got a lot of great pictures!

Feeding the animals

You could feed a lot of the animals. You actually get to go in with the deer and the goat to feed them. The goats are a little aggressive-- Jack wasn't too excited to be in there with them. He wasn't so crazy being in with the deer, either. Actually, he was much happier just watching them from his stroller. Olivia was pretty fearless-- she was feeding the goats by the end of the day.
